1. Discovery and Planning

Every great website begins with a clear strategy. During this phase we:

  • Define the project goals, target audience, and key performance indicators.

  • Map out the sitemap, user flow, and content structure.

  • Choose the right technology stack based on the project’s needs (e.g., a dynamic single-page app vs. a content-managed website).

This planning stage ensures that when we start building, every decision — from design patterns to server infrastructure — is deliberate and aligned with the business objectives.


2. UI/UX Design and Prototyping

Before writing a line of code, we focus on user experience and visual identity.

  • Wireframes and mockups are created to establish layout, navigation, and interaction flows.

  • Prototypes are tested to validate usability.

  • Design systems are built so that colors, typography, and components remain consistent.

At this point, we already have the front-end presentation layer in mind: the design will later be translated into HTML5 structure and CSS3 styling.


3. Front-End Development: Bringing Designs to Life

This is where the visual design turns into a functioning interface that runs in the browser. Three core technologies always come into play:

HTML5 – The Semantic Skeleton

HTML5 provides the semantic markup that outlines a page’s content. Elements like <header><nav><section><article>, and <footer> give meaning to the structure, improving accessibility and SEO. HTML5 also includes native support for audio, video, and scalable vector graphics, enabling rich media without third-party plugins.

CSS3 – The Styling Language

JavaScript – The Interactive Layer

JavaScript breathes life into the static structure. It enables dynamic content updates, form validation, sliders, modals, and complex client-side logic. Modern vanilla JavaScript (ES6+) offers powerful features like arrow functions, destructuring, promises, and modules, making it possible to build highly interactive experiences even before reaching for a library or framework.


4. Choosing the Right Approach: CMS, Front-End Framework, or Custom Build

Depending on project requirements, we may continue with different tools and architectures. This is where WordPress, React.js, and Node.js come in — sometimes separately, sometimes together as part of a headless stack.

WordPress – The Powerful Content Management System

When a website requires frequent content updates, a user-friendly backend, blogging capabilities, or extensive plugin ecosystems, WordPress is often the perfect choice.

  • It runs on PHP and MySQL, but the front-end still relies on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • We develop custom themes, leverage the block editor (Gutenberg), and ensure the site is fast, secure, and SEO-optimized.

  • Thanks to its massive community, WordPress can be extended with plugins for e-commerce (WooCommerce), multilingual support, and much more.

React.js – The Modern UI Library

For highly dynamic, app-like experiences (think dashboards, real-time data displays, or single-page applications), we use React.js. Developed and maintained by Meta, React allows us to:

  • Build encapsulated components that manage their own state.

  • Efficiently update and render just the parts of the UI that change, via a virtual DOM.

  • Create reusable, testable front-end architectures.

  • Integrate easily with any backend (REST APIs or GraphQL) — often a Node.js server.

React.js excels in projects where the user interface is complex and performance is critical.

Node.js – The JavaScript Runtime for the Server

Node.js allows us to run JavaScript outside the browser, making it ideal for building fast, scalable network applications. In web development, Node.js serves several roles:

  • It powers the backend API that serves data to a React front-end.

  • It handles real-time functionality (WebSockets, chat applications).

  • It facilitates server-side rendering (e.g., with Next.js, a React framework) for improved performance and SEO.

  • Its package manager, npm, gives access to thousands of open-source tools.

Together with Express.js or other frameworks, Node.js can form the backbone of a full-stack JavaScript solution.


5. Back-End Development and Database Integration

Not every website needs a custom backend — a CMS like WordPress already includes one. For headless or custom builds, the backend is where business logic, authentication, and data storage live.

  • We design RESTful or GraphQL APIs (often using Node.js with Express, or other languages/frameworks when required).

  • Databases are chosen based on data structure: MySQL/PostgreSQL for relational data, MongoDB for flexible document stores.

  • Third-party services (payment gateways, email providers, CRM platforms) are integrated at this stage.


6. Testing, Quality Assurance, and Optimization

Before launch, every aspect of the website is rigorously tested:

  • Cross-browser compatibility (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and cross-device responsiveness.

  • Performance optimization: image compression, code minification (HTML, CSS, JS), lazy loading, and leveraging caching.

  • Accessibility (WCAG guidelines) to ensure the site is usable by everyone.

  • Security checks — form validation, HTTPS enforcement, protection against SQL injection and XSS, and updates for all dependencies (especially critical in WordPress and Node.js ecosystems).

  • SEO basics: correct semantic HTML5 tags, metadata, fast load times, and structured data.


7. Deployment and Launch

Once the site passes all tests, we move it from staging to the live server.

  • For WordPress sites, this typically involves migrating the database and files to a managed host or cloud server.

  • For React/Node.js applications, we use platforms like Vercel, Netlify, AWS, or DigitalOcean, often with CI/CD pipelines that automatically deploy from a Git repository.

  • DNS settings, SSL certificates, and redirects are configured for a smooth launch.

A phased rollout or a soft launch may be used for larger projects to monitor performance with real traffic.


8. Maintenance and Continuous Improvement

A website is never truly “finished.” Post-launch we:

  • Monitor uptime, performance, and user behavior with analytics.

  • Regularly update core software, plugins (WordPress), and npm packages (Node.js/React) to address security patches and new features.

  • Refine content, SEO, and conversion paths based on real data.

  • Add new features or sections as the business grows.
